Depeche Mode's first single, for the sake of making a record, eventually made them famous at Scamps even though friends became their fanbase. Mature, dead-pan vocals accompanied by naive synth arrangements, not quite futurist yet but as the Japs invented new gadgets they were sure to use them. Always reminds me of candy floss and ferris wheels though.
