The Retroscope: 6 April
6 April 1985: Ex-frontman of the eight piece soul outfit Q-tips, Paul Young, scored his second UK #1 album with “The Secret of Association”. The album was released 18 months after his debut album “No Parlez” which featured a version of Ann Peebles’ soul classic “I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down”.
