21 March 1984: John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, dedicates a section of New York City's Central Park as a place of meditation called Strawberry Fields. Every December fans converge on the spot to remember her late husband, who was murdered by a deranged fan on that day in 1980.
21 March 1985: Boy George said in "Women's World" magazine that he would never marry, settle down or become a father.
21 March 1986: "Parade" (the soundtrack for "Undo the Cherry Moon") by Prince was released.
21 March 1987: U2 released the album "Joshua Tree"
21 March 1989: Madonna's album "Like a Prayer" was released.
