Possessed by undeniably unusual vocal ability, her power-chord cliches and humourless posturing of heavy metal appeal was questionable. Her second album, Crimes of Passion, went straight to the top in 1981 though as well as Precious Time. She even made her acting debut in Union City Blues the same year.
