The Retroscope: 17 December

1984: Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Big Country, Duran Duran, Ultravox, Paul Young and Wham! appeared on the UK TV Show “Razzmatazz Solid Gold Christmas”.
1988: Featured on the front page of the NME, BROS who were interviewed, Matt gave a quote, “We’ve got the quickest selling debut LP in the history of CBS Records. You don’t do that if you are talentless.” Not enough talent to defy pop obscurity though.
