10 April 1982: Iron Maiden scored their first UK#1 album with “The Number Of The Beast”. Although it was certified platinum the album became particularly controversial in the US.
10 April 1985: While embarking on her very first North American tour Madonna played the first of three nights at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington. The Beastie Boys opened on the 40 date Virgin tour.
