While Kylie Minogue scored a #1 hit on the UK singles chart with her second #1 hit, “Hand On Your Heart”. It was yet another typical hit written and produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Simple Minds had also made an impression by reaching the summit of the UK album chart with “Street Fighting Years”, their fourth #1 album featuring the hits “Mandela Day”, “Belfast Child” and “Biko”
